Directeur de l’Atelier Industriel de l’Aéronautique (AIA) de Bordeaux / Director, Bordeaux Aeronautical State Industry Center, Aeronautics Industrial Service

L’ingénieur général de l’armement Thierry Bellœil a débuté sa carrière à l’AIA (Atelier industriel de l’aéronautique) de Clermont Ferrand, comme chef de projets spéciaux avant de prendre la tête du département « maintenance aéronefs et fabrications ». Il rejoint ensuite la DGA à Paris pour différents postes de direction de programme dans le domaine des missiles, drones et défense NRBC. Il passe ensuite quatre ans comme officier de liaison au sein de l’US Army dans le New Jersey. Au retour, il œuvre comme directeur adjoint à la création du nouvel AIA de Bretagne, en développant une logique industrielle sur trois sites de la Marine.

Après un bref passage au bureau OTAN de la DGA, il part à Norfolk comme conseiller scientifique du commandant suprême de l’OTAN (Transformation).

A son retour en France en 2018, il rejoint l’AIA de Bordeaux, comme sous-directeur technique et directeur adjoint, puis comme directeur.

The brigadier general (joint acquisition corps) Thierry Bellœil began his career at the “AIA” (Aeronautical Industrial Workshop) in Clermont Ferrand, as manager of special projects before taking over the "aircraft maintenance and manufacturing" department. He then rejoined the DGA in Paris for various program management positions in the field of missiles, drones and NRBC defense. He spent four years as a liaison officer within the US Army in New Jersey. Back to France, he worked as deputy director for the creation of a new “AIA” in Brittany, developing an industrial logic on three historical Navy sites.

After a brief stay at the DGA's NATO desk, he left for Norfolk (USA) as scientific advisor to the NATO Supreme Allied Commander - Transformation.

On his return to France in 2018, he joined the “AIA” in Bordeaux, as deputy director, then as director.
