Edmond Toudji, a helicopter pilot, joined the French Air and Space Force in 1997. A Colonel, graduate of the French War College and alumnus of the NATO Defense College, he currently serves as a Seconded National Expert at the European Commission (DG DEFIS).

He devoted the first part of his career to operational missions in France and abroad. With nearly 3,000 flight hours, he carried out numerous missions in fields as varied as search and rescue, air policing and the transport of senior officials. He then focused his career on international relations and armament programmes, holding positions related to capability development at the French Air Force Staff, the Permanent Representation of France to the EU and the French Directorate General of Armaments.

In his current role, he contributes to the programming of European instruments supporting the defence industry, in particular the European Defence Fund, as well as to the management of EU-funded projects.
