Graduated in aerospace propulsion, General Engineer of Armament Bernard Soulé joined the Technical Department of Aeronautical Programs of the DGA in 1991. He implemented the first fleet tracking information systems for ADOUR and LARZAC engines and was in charge of integrated logistics support for the M88 engines on the Rafale. He held production management positions at the Bordeaux Aeronautical Industrial Workshop, on M53 and M88 engines, then headed the Onboard Installations division of DGA Flight Tests.

In 2011, IGA Bernard Soulé joined the M51 missile program, where he led the production and operational implementation of the missile system for the oceanic component of the nuclear deterrence. Later, as program director of the Tigre helicopters, he launched the mid-life renovation program Tigre 3 standard.

Appointed as head of the DGA Aerospace Techniques test and expertise center in 2022, he defined and led the actions extending the scope of this establishment to the space domain.

In October 2025, IGA Bernard Soulé is appointed director of the AIA de Bordeaux. Within the Aeronautical Industrial Service, this establishment ensures the MRO of the engines equipping the Mirage 2000, Rafale, Alphajet, A400M and Tiger helicopters.
