Christophe Quipourt joined Snecma (now Safran Aircraft Engines) in 1981 after completing his training as a precision machinist, and later earned a Higher National Diploma (BTS) in Production Engineering. With more than forty years of experience in the aerospace industry, he has held positions in production, maintenance, engineering, quality, and customer support across both military and commercial engine programs. Throughout his career, he has contributed to the support of major engine programs, including the ATAR, CFM56, GE90, and Tyne.

Since 2009, he has been based at the Châtellerault facility, where he has specialized in military engine maintenance. After leading the Tyne engine maintenance line and test cell operations, he became the focal point for mature military engines in 2022. In this role, he coordinates all internal and external MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) activities, ensuring the achievement of performance and availability objectives for the Military Engines Support organization. He also contributed to the successful establishment of the IROISE contract, a major milestone in the long-term support of military engines.

Committed to preserving critical expertise, Christophe Quipourt also helped establish the Tyne Academy, a competency preservation school dedicated to maintaining and transferring the specialized know-how associated with this iconic engine. He believes that long-term operational support depends not only on technical excellence but also on the effective transfer of knowledge, and he is dedicated to ensuring the sustainability of mature military engines while passing valuable expertise on to future generations.
